How 3DS Compression Works

For native GLB, FabRapid chooses Meshopt or Draco from the model content and selected quality intent. Other 3DS paths remain legacy until a format-family strategy is approved, and no result is delivered without a whole-file benefit.

1For precision and 3D-printing workflows, start with the highest-fidelity intent and verify dimensions in the destination tool.
2For web and AR delivery, choose the aggressive intent only when stronger geometry simplification is acceptable.
3The current GLB strategy preserves embedded texture bytes; optimize textures separately only with a workflow appropriate for color, alpha, and data maps.
