How USDA Compression Works

For native GLB, FabRapid chooses Meshopt or Draco from the model content and selected quality intent. Other USDA paths remain legacy until a format-family strategy is approved, and no result is delivered without a whole-file benefit.

USDA Compression Tips

  • 1For precision and 3D-printing workflows, start with the highest-fidelity intent and verify dimensions in the destination tool.
  • 2For web and AR delivery, choose the aggressive intent only when stronger geometry simplification is acceptable.
  • 3The current GLB strategy preserves embedded texture bytes; optimize textures separately only with a workflow appropriate for color, alpha, and data maps.
