Up to 2x Faster Page Loads

A major performance overhaul: 30% less JavaScript on first load, lazy-loaded monitoring, and smarter auth bootstrapping make every page snappier.

We rebuilt how the site loads JavaScript, and the difference is noticeable — especially on mobile and slower connections.

30% less JavaScript on first load

First-load JavaScript on the homepage dropped from 442 KB to 294 KB (gzipped). We audited every chunk that ships to your browser and removed everything that doesn't belong in the critical path.

Smarter auth bootstrapping

Visitors who aren't signed in no longer download the authentication client at all. The signed-in account menu — and everything it depends on — only loads when a session cookie suggests you're actually logged in. Public pages stay fully cacheable on the CDN.

Monitoring off the critical path

Error monitoring now initializes after the page is idle instead of competing with rendering. Errors that happen before initialization are buffered and reported once the monitor is ready, so nothing gets lost — but your first paint no longer waits for it.

Performance budget in CI

To keep things fast, a bundle budget check now guards every build: first-load JavaScript must stay under 300 KB, and heavyweight server-only libraries are banned from browser bundles entirely.
